Man arrested after $100,000 worth of items reported missing in Miami-Dale – NBC 6 South Florida

A man was arrested in southwest Miami-Dade after $100,000 worth of items were reported stolen hours earlier, Miami-Dade police said.

According to a police report, a trailer containing tobacco products, alcohol, sunglasses and clothing was reported stolen on Monday. The trailer and cargo were on their way to the Crown Princess cruise ship in San Francisco before the incident occurred.

Manuel Angel Perez-Jacom, 34, was arrested at the corner of SW 288 St. and SW 137 Av. after police found “several boxes” of the stolen goods in his vehicle, the arrest report states.

Perez was unable to provide valid documents proving ownership of the stolen items, the report said.

The suspect is facing one count of grand theft (bail $7,500) and another count of receiving stolen goods (bail $10,000).

Perez was taken to jail. Attorney information was not available.
