Teenager dead after drug deal turns fatal at W Houston

A 17-year-old boy has died after being shot in a deadly drug deal.

The shooting happened around 8 p.m. Friday at an apartment located at 11655 Briar Forest in West Houston. The victim reportedly lived at the complex with his 21-year-old girlfriend.

Two other men arrived at their unit to sell drugs to the couple. When the victim and his girlfriend came out of the bathroom after collecting the money needed for the transaction, the men pulled out their guns. The teenager was shot in the arm.

The shooters then fled the scene on foot. Their current whereabouts are unknown, but reports indicate they may be wanted for other shootings.
