Very hot and humid, with less rain on the weekend

First Alert meteorologist Corey Simma is observing temperatures between 35 and 40 degrees. In some places it will feel like over 38 degrees.

The sea breeze is moving inland and cooling the coast. Some storms will form in the Orlando/Daytona area and he expects some of those storms to move north into our area.

A shower or two may reach Duval, but not everywhere will see rain. The showers will die down around sunset and the night will be muggy.

Simma is tracking isolated storms Friday afternoon, mostly in northeast Florida. Once again, many areas will not see any rain

The weekend will be hot and dry.

Next week it looks wetter from Tuesday

In the tropics there is no cause for concern.
