4-month-old baby found dead in southwest Houston hotel, HCSO says

HOUSTON (KIAH) — Harris County authorities are investigating the death of a 4-month-old baby at a southwest Houston hotel Sunday afternoon.

Harris County Sheriff’s Office investigators were called Sunday to the Days Inn and Suites at 7111 Rancho Mission Drive after a call that a 4-month-old infant had died.

Our press partners reported that the little girl was no longer breathing in a hotel room, where she was sleeping in a drawer. She was with her parents and her 2-year-old brother. The parents were arrested for questioning.

The investigation continues and possible charges may not be filed for weeks until the medical examiner can determine the baby’s cause of death.
