Suspect sought for robbery at gas station in Uniondale

Police are asking the public for help in identifying a suspect who robbed the Conoco gas station in Uniondale on Thursday.

According to authorities, a man wearing a black sweatshirt, blue vest and mask entered the store at 1198 Front Street around 7:45 p.m.

The suspect approached a male store employee, displayed a handgun and demanded cash.

According to police, the victim complied with the request. The suspect took an unknown amount of money and fled the scene.

According to police, the employee was the only other person in the store at the time. No injuries were reported.

Anyone with information is asked to call the police.
