News from Houston, Texas: Air Quality Alert Issued

HOUSTON — An air quality alert is in effect today for parts of the Houston area. The National Weather Service is calling it an Ozone Day of Action.

The air quality alert has been issued for Harris, Brazoria and Galveston counties.

This means air quality could be unhealthy for sensitive groups. People in these groups should limit their outdoor activities early or late in the day. People are also advised to limit driving and carpool when possible.
