Boogie T brings the “Flava” to Buffalo again

Funky dubstep artist Boogie T made a stop in Buffalo on May 2nd. This multi-faceted producer left Town Ballroom with another EDM show for the books on his 140 Warriors tour.

This wouldn’t be called a warrior tour if Boogie T hadn’t brought his talented friends along for the ride. Underground bass producer Chef Boyarbeatz started the night with his nostalgic take on heavy breaks. His SpongeBob visuals were psychedelic and such a crowd pleaser once he performed his latest single “Squidwards Revenge.”

Then, two hard-hitting producers made a b2b special for Buffalo. Bringing bass music from Hong Kong, Saka joins technical artist FLY for a high energy performance. The two blend effortlessly on stage mixing hip-hop, dubstep and rap. Both artists are constantly turning the decks on and off showcasing their latest works. Their Baby Keem version of “Trademark USA” was a staple that had everyone excited.

Boogie T continued this performance by invading the stage with his Louisiana booty. This burgeoning producer, also known as Brock Thornton, has been expressing himself through music since the age of eight. His talent for writing and playing various instruments is evident. Hence the group he is also in when he is not behind the decks: BOOGIE T.RIO. His knowledge of all things music and his southern accent bring a new funk to dubstep that’s unlike anything anyone else in the scene is doing.

From the swamps to the stage

Chances are you can instantly tell a Boogie T song apart just from its unique sound. Plus, no matter how much time has passed, his hit tracks bring roaring energy anywhere and anytime. This was very true in Buffalo that night, as the screams were unreal once he played “Smokin’ Dat Spliff” and “2KFO.”

Boogie T’s stage performance is the perfect mirror of his music. His music brings weird noises to people so he brings funk to the stage. His entertaining dance moves and infectious energy make him so endearing to fans. Its visuals further expand its unique swag with cartoon-like images.

His collaborations with other artists are some of the best works in the EDM world. Specifically, when Boogie T and Ganja White Night team up, their songs become instant hits. So, of course, Boogie T performed these songs, “Clarity” and the fan-favorite single “Flava.”

Eventually, Boogie T left the stage, but not without a roaring response from the crowd begging for an encore. He then came back and performed one obvious final song: “Encore.”
