75-year-old Grand Isle man charged with assaulting 20-year-old in driving aggression incident

A 75-year-old Grand Isle man was cited Saturday night following an incident of road rage, according to Vermont State Police. Authorities were called to Route 2 at Ferry Road in South Hero around 5:25 p.m. after receiving a report that a possible assault had occurred in the middle of the roadway. Further investigation by officers determined the attack was the result of an incident of road rage. According to VSP, Jack Deforge exited his vehicle and assaulted a 20-year-old Plattsburgh man. The victim was evaluated by EMS for minor injuries, according to VSP. Deforge was summoned to appear in Grand Isle County Superior Court at 8:30 a.m. on August 22. He will face charges of simple assault and disorderly conduct.

According to the Vermont State Police, a 75-year-old man from Grand Isle was cited following an incident of road rage on Saturday evening.

According to VSP, Jack Deforge got out of his vehicle and attacked a 20-year-old man from Plattsburgh.

The emergency services found the victim had minor injuries, VSP said.

Deforge was summoned to appear in Grand Isle County Superior Court at 8:30 a.m. on August 22.

He must answer for simple assault and disorderly conduct.
