Dora woman killed in car crash in Walker County

A new report found that traffic fatalities in New York increased in 2021

WALKER COUNTY, Alabama (WIAT) – A Dora woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, 42-year-old Melissa Parker was injured when her Toyota Tundra went off the road and was struck by a Chevrolet Silverado at around 12:35 p.m. Both vehicles went off the road before impact, resulting in the crash. Parker was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and passenger of the Chevrolet were taken to Brookwood Baptist Medical Center in Jasper for treatment.

The accident occurred on Horse Creek Boulevard near Singleton Road, about a mile west of Dora in Walker County. No further information is available as the ALEA investigation is ongoing.
