Oswego man charged with murder of woman

Oswego, NY – An Oswego man has been charged with the murder of a woman, police said.

According to Oswego police, officers responded to 30 W. Schuyler St. around 8:40 p.m. Saturday to investigate a report of an unconscious woman. The woman was found dead.

The man, 35-year-old Ricky Colon, was charged with premeditated murder, first-degree assault, third-degree illegal possession of a weapon and tampering with evidence, police said.

Police were unable to determine the woman’s identity and did not provide any information about when and how she was killed.

According to records, Colon is being held in the Oswego County Jail.
