Atlanta Falcons to win 4 layups, expect 3 losses

This is the first week of the schedule where you should be able to guarantee an Atlanta Falcons win. While games against the Steelers, Bucs, and Saints could all go Atlanta’s way, they’re far from guaranteed. The Panthers are objectively the worst running team in the sport right now.

Every other franchise can find a reason to celebrate or believe in their future. For the Panthers, even if you find THE player, what’s to stop your star from being traded? We’ve seen Christian McCaffrey, DJ Moore and Brian Burns all get traded in the last two years.

Any other reasonable franchise would keep at least two of those players as building blocks. What are you building toward if you part with all your best players? Carolina is lost, and given Atlanta’s history, it’s easy to feel sympathy for a frustrated fan base.

The only way this team is going to be able to make a play is if Bryce Young becomes a different player. The first-year version of Young just isn’t getting the job done, even with improved protection and weapons. It looks like this will be another lost season for Carolina and a game Atlanta can’t afford to give up.
