Monday brings the chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms in the morning, with another round expected in the afternoon. Although the risk is low, there is a chance of a strong or severe storm later this afternoon and early evening. Look for isolated strong winds and some small hail. Storm risk is decreasing. There is a level 1/5 risk of severe weather in southern areas this afternoon and evening.

Tuesday through Wednesday morning is a First Alert Weather Day: Beryl’s remnants could have significant impacts on parts of our region, but the exact track will determine who will be affected by flooding and gusty winds. The latest data shows a slight southward shift in the track, but that could change within the next 24 hours. As the remnants move through Tuesday into Wednesday morning, widespread rainfall of 2 to 4 inches is possible, with some areas potentially receiving up to 6 inches. A flood warning will go into effect tonight through early Wednesday morning for areas southeast of St. Louis. We all need to be alert for heavy rainfall and possible flooding.
