Several injured in traffic accident in Moa, Holguín

A private passenger vehicle was involved in an accident on a road in Moa, Holguin. According to the news portal The ScissorsThe Toyota Car drove from Moa to Sagua de Tanamo.

Based on the photos posted on FacebookThe vehicle came off the road and landed next to some bushes. Fortunately, it did not roll over. There were nearly a dozen people in the car, some of whom were lying on the grass.

“The cause of the accident and the condition of the injured are still unknown,” explained the author of the article.

Several Internet users speculated that the accident may have been caused by the driver’s excessive speed combined with the poor road conditions.

“Maybe that wasn’t the reason, but these Toyota drivers were speeding on the highway. I know the area well and the numerous accidents from Moa to Holguín. They want to make a lot of money and the lives of the passengers are in great danger,” said one woman.

“This is done out of necessity and because of the shortage of petrol. They want to get the most out of the little they can buy. Their ambition blinds them to the point that they end up forgetting their own lives and those of their fellow passengers,” commented another person.

“Maybe this is not true, but most of the time, anyone can get a driver’s license and get behind the wheel out of inexperience, irresponsibility or exhaustion. However, not everyone is aware of the responsibility that comes with it,” added a young man.
