Warnings issued after 12-year-old girl disappears in Long Beach

Two law enforcement agencies have issued alerts after a 12-year-old girl went missing in Long Beach.

According to officials with the Los Angeles Police Department, Teriana Mahomes was last seen in the 6600 block of Atlantic Avenue around 4 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

According to police, she was dating her mother’s boyfriend, identified as Clark Thomas Wheeler.

Mahomes is described as a black female, approximately 4 feet tall and weighing approximately 90 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black and white checkered shirt, black denim shorts and white shoes.

In addition to the LAPD’s Ebony Alert, the The California Highway Patrol also issued an Amber Alert to expand the search efforts for Mahomes.
