Fatal highway crash in Bridgewater under investigation – Boston 25 News

RAYNHAM, Massachusetts – Officials are investigating a fatal highway crash in Bridgewater Saturday.

A Massachusetts State Police spokesman said officers were called to a fatal crash on Route 495 South near Route 24 in Bridgwater around 3:18 p.m.

Upon impact, the car drove into a group of trees, sending smoke billowing across the highway.

The right lane was closed during the investigation and was reopened at 7:27 p.m.

A drone video from the scene of the accident shows rescue workers crowding around the vehicle, which came to a stop between the trees.

The state police could not initially say how many people were in the car at the time of the accident.
