Beaver Falls woman arrested for failing to return 4 children to their legal guardian – WPXI

PITTSBURGH – A Beaver Falls woman faces felony charges for failing to return her children to their legal guardian, the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office said.

The sheriff’s office said 33-year-old Aliah Jones failed to return her four biological children, ages five to 11, to their legal guardian after a visit on June 15.

The guardian, who has had sole responsibility for the children’s custody and health and well-being for over a year, reported the situation to Pittsburgh police just hours after the children were scheduled to return.

On June 25, a judge issued a temporary restraining order requiring the children to be immediately returned to their guardian, and on July 3, Pittsburgh police charged Jones with four counts of interference with custody of children.

It wasn’t until Friday that Allegheny County Sheriff’s investigators began searching for Jones and quickly discovered that she was in Warren, Ohio. Police found her and the four children at a gas station in Warren around 6:30 p.m.

Jones was arrested without incident and is being held in an Ohio jail while he awaits extradition to Allegheny County. After Jones’ arrest, detectives took custody of the children, and they have since been released to their legal guardian.
