Georgia farm worker killed in bizarre grain elevator accident – ​​95.5 WSB

BAINBRIDGE, Georgia — A Georgia farm worker was killed in a bizarre accident in a grain elevator Tuesday morning, according to WTXL.

The accident occurred shortly before 11 a.m. at Rentz Farm Supply in Bainbridge.

According to WTVM, workers were in a grain elevator repairing the roof that had been damaged by a tornado when a support beam gave way and fell on the worker. The worker, whose identity was not released, died “almost instantly.”

The worker came from Cairo, Georgia.

Investigators told WTVM that the man’s death was purely an accident.

Decatur County is located in southern Georgia.
