Woman dead after domestic incident in Elgin, police say – Chicago Tribune

A man is in custody in connection with the death of a woman who was fatally injured during what police are describing as a “domestic incident” in Elgin.

Officers were called to the 1300 block of Fleetwood Drive around noon Tuesday and found the victim, who was taken to a nearby hospital and later died, Elgin police said in a Facebook post.

The woman’s name has not been released pending positive identification by the Kane County Coroner’s Office.

Police have not released any information about the nature of the victim’s injuries, what caused them, whether they were accidental or intentional, what connection the arrested man has to the victim, or whether charges may be filed.
