Prosecutor investigates fatal shooting of man in Camden

CAMDEN, NJ — A shooting that left a man dead in Camden is under investigation, officials said.

Police responded to a ShotSpotter activation for a shots fired at 11:35 p.m. Friday in the 1000 block of Liberty Street. Arriving officers found the victim – Donald Green, 43, of Camden – suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, according to the Camden County District Attorney’s Office (CCPO).

Officers took the victim to Cooper University Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, the CCPO said. He was pronounced dead at 12:22 a.m. Saturday.
