Rape: 13-year-old boy arrested for raping 5-year-old girl in Kheri district | Bareilly News

Bareilly: A 13-year-old boy was arrested for allegedly raping his five-year-old neighbour girl in Kheri district of India’s Uttar Pradesh state on Friday night, police said. The boy was arrested and produced before a juvenile court which sent him to a children’s home. According to police, the girl had gone to the neighbourhood to play and when she returned, her clothes were stained with blood. Her mother, upon investigation, found that she had been raped and immediately informed her husband and called the police. “The girl was taken to a remote place where she was sexually abused by the accused minor boy. He was arrested and handed over to the juvenile court. A complaint has been filed under Section 376ab (rape of a woman below 12 years of age) of the IPC and the Pocso Act,” said Arun Kumar Singh of Pasgawa police station. He added: “We have taken the girl to the district hospital for treatment and forensic examination.” A police officer privy to the case, who wished to remain anonymous, said the accused often watched obscene videos on his mobile phone.
