Four dead in Atlanta ‘murder-suicide’: bodies found lying in driveway in front of house

According to Georgia sheriff’s officials, officers found two bodies in the driveway when they arrived at a home in Sharpsburg — before the man behind them also killed himself.

A man killed three people in Atlanta before shooting himself dead early Saturday morning, police said.

According to Georgia sheriff’s officials, officers found two bodies in the driveway when they arrived at a home in Sharpsburg. This happened after receiving numerous 911 calls shortly after 1 a.m. Saturday, the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office said in a social media post.




It was also revealed that another body was found in the doorway of the home. When officers arrived on the scene, a man ran into the home and a gunshot was heard. Authorities also said that a SWAT team then arrived and secured the home — before finding the man’s body.

Sheriff’s officials said they are investigating the case as a “murder-suicide.” Authorities have not released the names of the victims or the suspected shooter pending notification of family members. Additional details were not immediately available.

Most of the neighbors Atlanta News First spoke with said the community is generally quiet. Many were shocked that something like this happened in their backyard.
