Aldi’s chocolate chip muffins recalled due to allergy warning

According to the U.S. Food & Drug Administration, FGF Brands Inc. has issued a recall of 11,830 boxes of Chocolate Chip Muffins from ALDI – Bakeshop.

There are no walnuts on the packaging of the muffins, which are sold in ALDI stores nationwide. This poses a risk for customers who suffer from an allergy or severe sensitivity to walnuts, a statement said.

“The recalled 4-pack of Bakeshop Chocolate Chip Muffins are marked with lot number NF1 142Y on the top and UPC 4099100048278 on the label,” the statement said.

No illnesses or side effects have been reported so far, the statement said.
