Bengaluru man arrested for sexually abusing his 6-year-old granddaughter

Bengaluru: A 60-year-old man allegedly sexually abused his six-year-old granddaughter in southeast Bengaluru’s Hulimavu when other family members were not at home.

The Hulimavu police have formed two special teams to track down the fugitive. While one team is searching for him in Bengaluru, another has followed a lead to Tamil Nadu.

Hulimavu police have filed an FIR after recording the statement of the girl’s mother and arrested the suspect under the Prevention of Sexual Offences Against Children (POCSO) Act.

A senior police officer said DH The incident occurred on June 22, but was not reported until the girl’s parents admitted her to the hospital. The hospital administration informed the police about the girl.

The official said the family hailed from Tamil Nadu and worked in a sawmill in the catchment area of ​​Hulimavu police station. Three of the family members were arrested after they attacked the suspect and sent him somewhere.
