Shooting investigation leads to arrest of Dover man

DOVER, Delaware – A Dover man was arrested on numerous charges following a shooting incident Sunday afternoon.

At approximately 12:30 p.m., officers were called to the Becky Lane area for a report of shots fired. Officers learned that the suspect, identified as 29-year-old Anthony Hatton, ran into the wooded area near Tidbury Park after an argument with his neighbors and fired one shot from a firearm. Hatton was found at the scene, where officers observed several signs of impairment and took him into custody.

No injuries or property damage have been reported at this time.

Hatton was charged with possession of a weapon during the commission of a felony, first-degree reckless endangerment, possession of a weapon while under the influence of alcohol, and menacing. He was held at SCI on $22,000 bail.
