Bayou L’Ourse man arrested for obscenity and public drunkenness – KQKI News

A Bayou L’Ourse man was arrested Friday afternoon and charged with obscenity and disturbing the peace while intoxicated, according to Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon.

Ty Quang Thai, 53, of 261 Vivian Street, was taken into custody after officers responded to a call reporting an intoxicated person exposing himself in a public area near the intersection of LA 398 and LA 662.

The incident began when Thai was asked to leave a local retail store because he was obviously intoxicated. After leaving the store on foot, he allegedly exposed himself in an obscene manner.

Officers found Thai and found that he appeared to be intoxicated. He became aggressive and combative towards the investigating officer, which led to his arrest.

Thai was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on suspicion of disturbing the peace through intoxication and obscenity. He remains incarcerated with bail set at $50,000.
