Fatal motorcycle accident on Father’s Day near Pelican Rapids

Pelican Rapids, MN – On Sunday evening (June 16) at approximately 5:15 p.m., the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office responded to a motorcycle accident in Dunn Township, northeast of Pelican Rapids.

According to authorities, it was initially said that the adult driver had suffered serious injuries.

Life-saving measures were initiated on site, but ultimately they were unsuccessful.

The driver was wearing protective gear, including a helmet, jacket and gloves. Alcohol probably did not play a role.

The identity of the operator has not yet been disclosed at this time.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Pelican Rapids Ambulance, Pelican Rapids Fire and Life Link Air Ambulance.
