Massachusetts man dies after collision with semi-trailer in Maine – NECN

A man from Massachusetts was killed after being hit by a semi-trailer truck in Maine early Saturday morning.

According to Maine State Police, 36-year-old Chhoeunly Phoeung was driving south on the Maine Turnpike when he left the road and struck several objects at the entrance to the State Police weigh station in Kittery, Maine.

According to authorities, he got out of his car after the accident and ended up on the turnpike, where he was hit by a semi-trailer truck.

He was taken to Portsmouth Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.

The incident is under investigation.
