ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) — A Rochester man who was on probation for burglary was arrested Friday after breaking into two car dealerships, according to police.

According to Brighton police, officers responding to a burglary call at Cortese Mitsubishi on West Henrietta Road searched the area and found 26-year-old John Delara at Vision Hyundai across the street.

Investigators said Delara fled on foot but was quickly caught. They identified him as a suspect through surveillance footage from both locations. Police said Delara was seen on camera breaking a window at Vision Hyundai and entering the building through a garage door.

Delara was arrested and charged with burglary, criminal damage and petty theft. Police said he was on probation at the time because he had a previous conviction for burglary.
