Bath man charged with raping multiple children | Northampton County

WIND GAP, Pennsylvania – Police in Northampton County accuse a 40-year-old man of repeatedly sexually abusing and raping children.

The investigation into the assault began in November 2023, when a representative from one of the victims’ schools informed the child’s mother that her son seemed exhausted and unfocused, court documents show. The boy’s mother told school officials that her son had been raped multiple times by someone and that she believed the man had behaved sexually inappropriately toward other children.

Following an investigation, Jean Agosto Baez of Bath was charged last week with rape, multiple counts of rape of a child, involuntary deviant sexual intercourse and multiple counts of indecent assault.

He is also accused of taking photographs of the children involved.

According to authorities, the victims were between 7 and 13 years old at the time of the rapes.

The investigation is ongoing.

Agosto Baez is being held in the Northampton County Jail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 3.
