2 killed, 2 injured after vehicle overturns during police chase in southeast Houston

HOUSTON – At least two people died Tuesday night after a chase with police in southeast Houston.

MORE STORIES INVOLVING PROSECUTIONS

It happened shortly after 2:30 a.m., when investigators said a driver nearly hit a Houston police patrol car. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver continued, leading to a brief chase.

Authorities say the chase lasted a few minutes before the driver flipped his vehicle several times before landing on its roof.

During the pursuit, authorities noted that the driver appeared to be impaired and that one of the windows had been broken during the pursuit.
