Jermall Charlo arrested for drunk driving after Lamborghini accident

A spokesman for the Pearland Police Department recounts TMZ Sports …Charlo, who was driving his red Lambo, and another car were involved in a collision around 6:41 p.m. – but after a verbal altercation broke out between the two drivers, Charlo left the scene, which police say is prohibited . NO.

When authorities tried to pull him over, Charlo allegedly ignored the sirens … until he was corralled by cops at a red light about a mile from the scene of the accident.

Police said they arrested the 33-year-old at the scene … and when they conducted a field sobriety test at the jail a short time later, he showed signs of intoxication.

Charlo was ultimately charged with three separate offenses: drunk driving with a BAC greater than 0.15, fleeing a police officer and leaving the scene of an accident causing damage of $200 or more.

Charlo’s lawyer, Kent Schaffertells us that drugs were not involved and says: “Jermall was training. He didn’t do any drugs.”

Schaffer added that it is his understanding that his client and the other people involved in the accident were not injured.

“We are optimistic that there will be a good solution,” said Schaffer.

Charlo – the boxing star’s 33-0 twin brother Jermell Charlo – last fought in November 2023, when he defeated Jose Benvidez Jr. by decision.
