State Police arrest drug trafficking suspect – Delaware State Police

Delaware State Police arrested a 37-year-old Omar Scottfrom Wilmington, Delaware, was charged with several serious drug and weapons offenses after a months-long investigation.

On May 23, 2024, members of the Delaware State Police New Castle County Drug Unit, Governor’s Task Force, Special Operations Response Team, and FBI executed search warrants at two residences: one on East Fourth Street in Wilmington and another on Hickman Road in Claymont. The investigation identified Omarr Scott as a key individual involved in drug trafficking at these locations. Upon arrival at the East Fourth Street location, Scott was arrested in his vehicle without incident. The investigation and subsequent searches resulted in the discovery of approximately 95 grams of suspected crack cocaine, approximately 30 grams of suspected cocaine, approximately 900 baggies (6.13 grams) of suspected heroin, a stolen loaded .40-caliber handgun, a 9mm handgun with a defaced serial number, a 10mm handgun, another 9mm handgun, and drug paraphernalia. A computer check confirmed that Scott is prohibited by law from possessing firearms. Scott was transported to Squad 2 where he was charged with the offenses listed below, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace of Court 2, and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $1,000,000 bail.
