Woodbridge man arrested after domestic strangulation incident

WOODBRIDGE, VA – A domestic dispute escalated into violence and resulted in the arrest of a local man for strangulation and assault. The incident occurred at approximately 4:46 p.m. on May 22 at a residence in the 3500 block of Forestdale Ave.

During the altercation, 26-year-old Spencer Andre Robinson, an acquaintance of the victim, reportedly got into a verbal argument with a 28-year-old woman that escalated into physical violence. Robinson is accused of hitting the woman, then grabbing her by the throat and preventing her from using her phone to call for help. The victim managed to escape the situation and immediately reported the incident to police after running out of the house.

Robinson was arrested after the victim filed a complaint alleging minor injuries. He is currently facing domestic violence charges in the incident. The case highlights how seriously local authorities take domestic disputes and violence.
