Creston police investigating two-vehicle crash

(Creston) No one was injured in a two-vehicle collision in Creston.

According to Creston police, the accident occurred at the intersection of N. Oak Street and Prairie at 7:09 p.m. Sunday. The drivers, 59-year-old Marie Mongar of Creston and 48-year-old Phillip Ronald Williams, were uninjured in the accident.

According to the report, a southbound 2014 Dodge Dart driven by Williams stopped at the intersection and then traveled east on Prairie Street into the path of an eastbound 2016 Nissan Ultima driven by Mongar, causing the collision . The airbags in both vehicles deployed. The Nissan and Dodge were towed from the scene.

Williams stated that he did not see the eastbound Nissan as it entered the intersection. Police cited Williams for failure to yield the right of way.
