2 Chicago Police Officers, Driver Injured in Back of the Yards Crash – NBC Chicago

Two Chicago police officers and another driver were injured in a collision in the Back of the Yards neighborhood Sunday morning.

According to Chicago police, officers were traveling north in the 4700 block of South Halsted around 1:30 a.m. when their vehicle collided with a pickup truck traveling west on 47^Th Street.

According to authorities, the two officers, who were in a marked patrol car, suffered minor injuries in the accident and were both taken to area hospitals. The driver of the van also suffered minor injuries.

All three were in good condition at area hospitals.

No citations have been issued and the investigation is ongoing.
