Euclid officer shot, taken to University Hospital

EUCLID, Ohio – Euclid Police confirmed to 3News that an officer was shot Saturday evening.

The incident occurred on East 211th Street south of Lakeshore.

Police confirm he was taken to University Hospitals. The officer’s current condition is unknown.

3News reporter Mitti Hicks reported live from the scene. Residents living on the street said they heard “about 12 gunshots” during the incident.

Police were seen using tactical equipment, drones, a helicopter and a police dog.

It is not known whether any suspects have been arrested. 3News has reached out to the Euclid Police Department for further details
