1 dead, 1 arrested after Brownsville library shooting

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Brownsville Police are on the scene of a fatal shooting at the Brownsville Public Library.

At 12:04 p.m., authorities responded to a call regarding an “unknown disturbance” at the library in the 2600 block of Central Boulevard.

When officers arrived, they said they found a man unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. He has since died.

They say a man has been arrested.

A Brownsville police officer told Valley Central that the shooting was related to a domestic dispute. We will have more details as they become available.
