New motorcycle ride ends fatally, teenager dies in accident in Mundhwa

Pune: A motorcycle ride with a friend ended in death for a young man when he collided with a passing water tanker. The incident resulted in the death of Atharva Kumbhar. The accident occurred at around 12:30 am on Saturday near the Renuka Mata Temple in Keshavnagar.

Aman Vinod Chaudhury (23, resident of Keshavnagar, Mundhwa) filed a complaint at Mundhwa police station. Police have arrested tanker driver Santosh Shivsevak Singh (32, resident of Keshavnagar, Mundhwa).

According to police, the complainant had recently purchased a new motorcycle. He and his friend Atharva Kumbhar were on a ride to Mantra Society and were on their way home when the speeding water tanker collided with their motorcycle near Renuka Mata Temple.

While the plaintiff was injured, Atharva Kumbhar tragically lost his life.
