Man arrested for drunk driving and illegal possession of weapons in Harris County |

Houston, Texas – On July 26, 2024, a man was arrested for drunk driving and illegal possession of weapons following a traffic stop.

Officers from Constable Mark Herman’s office conducted the stop in the 25600 block of the Northwest Freeway. The driver, identified as Justin Talavera, showed signs of intoxication, according to a news release from Harris County Constable Precinct 4.

A series of standardized sobriety tests revealed that Talavera was intoxicated. Further investigation revealed that he was in possession of a firearm.

“Justin Talavera was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail. He is facing charges of driving while under the influence and carrying a weapon without a license. His bail and court information have not been determined at this time,” said Constable Mark Herman.
