Shooting in apparent domestic violence incident –

ON NW WOODY CREEK ROAD IN SOUTHERN PLATTE COUNTY

At approximately 6 a.m. Tuesday morning, officers with the Platte County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported shooting in the 4800 block NW Woody Creek Road in far south Platte County. Upon arrival, officers found a 33-year-old female victim who had sustained a gunshot wound to the arm during an alleged domestic violence incident. Officers administered first aid to the victim and secured the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

During the investigation of the incident, a suspect was identified and later arrested at another location. The Sheriff’s Department says there are no other suspects at this time. Authorities do not believe there is any further danger to the public in this case.
