The district attorney files a motion to revoke Bonner’s probation in connection with an incident in March.

According to an Omaha Police report, on March 29, an officer was called to an Omaha QwikTrip after receiving a report of a physical assault.

The victim said she and Bonner had been in an “on-off” relationship for the past year, but had worked on it for the sake of their child and apparently agreed not to talk to other people in the meantime. She told police she told Bonner she would move on after he talked to other girls; but when she started getting text messages from friends, he became angry and physically aggressive and tried to take her phone away.

According to the OPD report, Bonner threw the victim to the ground and slammed her into a wall, injuring her left elbow and leaving a hole in the wall.

Prior to that incident, Bonner had been convicted of first-degree sexual abuse of a child. When the case was filed in 2019, he was 19 years old and the victim was 14. Bonner received no prison time in that case, but was sentenced to five years of probation, including “intensive supervision and community intervention,” after the case went to trial in 2020. As part of his sentence, he was also required to complete a sex offender treatment program.
