Heat warning for Seattle hits new record – KIRO 7 News Seattle

WESTERN WASHINGTON – For most of us in Western Washington, the heat will peak on Tuesday. For Seattle, I predicted a high of 95 degrees, which also sets a new daily record.

Near the Cascades south of I-90 and in southern locations such as Olympia, Lewis County and Shelton, it will be around 100.

In parts of central Washington it will be 105-110°.

The heat advisory has been extended for all of Western Washington through Wednesday, with warnings of extreme heat east of the Cascades.

The Pacific’s onshore cooling current will begin to affect the beaches on Tuesday.

This will ease the heat inland of Western Washington somewhat on Wednesday, although the high temperatures forecast for Seattle of 31 °C are still about ten degrees warmer than average.

On Thursday and Friday we will settle again at over 25 to under 27 degrees, before there is a moderate warming to over 27 degrees in Seattle next weekend.
