One dead in July 4 dirt bike crash in Baltimore – Baltimore Sun

One person was killed in a dirt bike accident in Baltimore’s Poppleton neighborhood on Thursday, police said.

The incident occurred on July 4 at approximately 8:57 p.m. when a 25-year-old man was riding a dirt bike in the 900 block of West Lexington Street, Baltimore police said in a news release.

According to police, the driver collided with a Dodge Charger.

The driver remained on scene while an unidentified person removed the victim’s dirt bike from the scene before police arrived, the department said.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died.

According to police, the accident is still being investigated by the police crash team.
