Sayreville teachers and police officers teach students valuable life skills

SAYREVILLE – Each year, the Sayreville Alliance hosts Camp Willabee at Sayreville Police Headquarters, bringing together a community of partners committed to preventing drug and alcohol use among children.

According to school superintendent Richard Labbe, a group of “dedicated teachers from Eisenhower, Wilson, Arleth, Truman and Sayreville Upper Elementary Schools dedicate their time each summer to leading this enriching camp.”

“I am thrilled that our students were able to participate in such a wonderful learning experience,” Labbe said. “We are so grateful and proud of everything Ms. (Christina) Kiernan and her colleagues have done to make this experience so meaningful for our students. Additionally, we are very grateful to Elyse Barone and the Sayreville Borough for providing us with the financial resources that made this all possible.”
