Austin Police Investigate Body Along Rainey Street

Austin police said they received a call around 5:30 p.m. about a person found near Waller Beach in Town Lake Metro Park.

When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from blunt force injuries. He was pronounced dead approximately 15 minutes after the initial call.

Police said they are not currently investigating the man’s death as a homicide and do not suspect foul play. They also said the death is being treated as an isolated incident.
