Justin Timberlake apparently joked about his recent arrest for drunk driving at a concert in Boston.

The Grammy-winning pop star was arrested in Sag Harbor, an affluent village in the Hamptons of New York State, last month.

In a video shared on social media over the weekend, Timberlake tells a crowd at Boston’s TD Garden Arena: “Is anyone here driving? No, I’m just kidding.”

The fans appear to laugh and cheer as he continues his address to the crowd.

Sag Harbor Village Police said Timberlake was stopped at 00:37 local time (5:27 UK time) on Tuesday, June 18, after officers noticed him “failing to stop at a properly placed stop sign and failing to maintain his lane” while driving a BMW.

An officer described his eyes as “bloodshot and glassy” and said “his breath gave off the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage,” according to court documents.

“He was unable to divide his attention, spoke slowly, was unsteady on his feet and performed poorly on all standardized sobriety tests,” court documents continue.

The 43-year-old, who first rose to fame as a member of the pop band NSYNC, was held overnight after his arrest until he was arraigned in Sag Harbor Village Court and released.

A court date is scheduled for July 26.
