Police in Cornelia ask for help in identifying the burglary suspect

For the second time in a week, Cornelia police are asking the public for help in identifying and locating a burglar.

Surveillance images show the suspect outside and inside a local store that was robbed around 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 30. The suspect was wearing a white mask and a dark hoodie.

A news release from Cornelia Police Department states that the person is believed to be a white male in his teens, approximately 5’8″ tall and weighing 150 pounds.

On June 28, police arrested another burglary suspect after he overdosed on fentanyl in a separate incident. Chance Hess is charged with aggravated burglary in connection with a break-in at Sugartopia Bakery on North Main Street.
