Arrests after woman was raped in the early hours of the morning at a skate park

Two men have been arrested after reports a woman was raped at an East Bristol skate park. Police were called to the M32 Skatepark on Stapleton Road at 4.20am this morning (June 29).

Avon and Somerset Police said officers had spoken to the victim and that two men had been located nearby and arrested on suspicion of rape. A police cordon remained in place in the area today.



The full police statement reads: “Two men were arrested by officers investigating the rape of a woman in Eastville.

“We were called at 4.20am this morning (June 29) to reports that a woman had been raped at the M32 Skatepark on Stapleton Road. Officers attended and spoke to the victim.

“Two men were located nearby and arrested on suspicion of rape. They are still in police custody.”
