Man arrested and charged in fatal shooting outside bar in Braddock Hills

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Police have arrested a man accused of shooting another man outside a Braddock Hills bar earlier this month.

According to Allegheny County Police, investigators have determined that 23-year-old Abdullaah Francken of Washington, Pennsylvania, was responsible for the shooting death of 24-year-old William Coffey on June 7.

Coffey was shot several times in front of J Cats Bar & Grillalso known as the Steel Towne Inn, which is located on Wilkins Avenue. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to police, Francken was taken into custody Wednesday by officers from the Allegheny County Police Department and the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force.

Francken faces several charges, including manslaughter, and is being held in the Allegheny County Jail.

According to court records, Francken has yet to be arraigned and a date for a preliminary hearing has not been set.
