MPD investigates shooting on North 4th Avenue | News, Sports, Jobs

On Monday morning, Marshalltown Police and the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 200 block of North 4th Avenue in Marshalltown after receiving information about gunfire in the neighborhood. Upon arrival, officers discovered a home at 206 N. 4th Ave. that had been struck by gunfire.

No injuries were reported. The area was extensively searched but no suspects were found.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact MPD at (641) 754-5725 or 911. The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation and the Marshall County District Attorney’s Office are assisting the MPD in the investigation.
